The full line up for the London Film Festival has been announced. Death Waltz Records release The Fog & Maniac on vinyl

This Friday night see’s us teaming up with our friends Death Waltz Recording Co. to bring you a super special screening of John Carpenter’s The Fog. Not only will it be a super rare screening from 16mm but will mark The Fog as Death Waltz‘s latest soundtrack release. And it’s shaping up to be a stunner worth getting for your collection.

The limited edition release will be a double vinyl album including the film’s original score as well as the original movie cues which are never before released on vinyl. Featuring artwork by British artist Dinos Chapman, the edition of 1000 coloured vinyls will be housed in a gatefold sleeve with matte lamination and will also include an art card of the as-yet unreleased cover image (you’ll have to wait until its launch at the event on Friday!). All this will be in a screenprinted plastic over bag and feature liner notes from Chapman, Randall D. Larson and the director himself, Carpenter. A limited edition of 200 copies on black vinyl will also be available at the event with the remainder of the stock going on public sale on June 14th.

June will also see the release of Rob’s soundtrack for the 2012 remake of Maniac with cover art by Jay Shaw. Taking inspiration from the fact that the film is shot from the killers POV, the sleeve has been given silver UV lamination effect turning it into a mirror. 500 copies will be flesh coloured with transparent blood splatter (exclusive to the Death Waltz webstore) and 350 will be silver steel with blood splatter, both editions containing a print of the cover art. There will also be 1000 picture disc releases with a matt lamination and print. Release date and cover art will be revealed at some point this month so stay peeled to the website or follow the twitter account for news.
